With regular use, The Polisher will last 6 to 9 months. Customers will be eligible for a refill via email notification.

Depending on how fast your nails are growing, touch-ups are usually needed within a week.

The Polisher should be cleaned with warm water and soap and dried with a soft cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents on The Polisher.

The nail plate has a few cell layers of extremely hard keratin. The Polisher removes this top layer to create the shine. To ensure that your nails retain their thickness, allow for them to grow back to dull before re-polishing. For nails of medium thickness, touch up with the Polisher weekly. For those with thinner nails, this can be up to 4 weeks for the nail to grow out completely. Each person's nails are different, so this regrowth will be unique to you.

We’re glad you asked. The abrasive material of The Polisher is made with harder, more precise materials than the traditional “sandpaper” buffer. The Polisher is a one-step process.

Replenishments are available for both the Polisher and the cuticle oil. Right now this happens via email notification. The cuticle oil pens are manufactured as single use items. As a result, you can use any video on Youtube with the description "oil pen refill" to attempt this, keeping in mind it can be an unstable process and may damage the pen. We would love nothing more than to keep these pens out of the landfill, but we simply are not a big enough company to manufacture our own design at this point.

Many of our products, such as the pouch, are intended for use over a long period of time. All of the Bare Hands carton and packing materials are recyclable and compostable. The Polisher is made with more than one material and therefore cannot be recycled. However, unlike paint-based polishes, it does not need to be disposed of as toxic waste. Due to the nature of some components, we consider our sustainability to be a continuously improving process. Our main mission is to replace toxic paints and solvents and remove them from ubiquitous use on a global scale.

All of the cuticle oils in our line are completely vegan. The balm in the pedicure kit contains beeswax, therefore is not vegan. Since none of the products contain paint, they are all entirely Wudhu friendly, letting water pass freely through the nail.

All of our products are Sulfate and Paraben Free.

The base of The Polisher is glass. Fused to the glass is a blend of proprietary minerals.

All Cuticle Oils are gluten free. Please check ingredients for each scent variation— we use both and sesame and almond oil to formulate.

We currently ship anywhere in the United States (Including Alaska and Hawaii)

We offer only one shipping option, which is standard shipping (3-5 business days). Please note that if you are a customer wanting to ship products to Alaska or Hawaii, your order will require a few extra days for delivery (about 5-10 business days).

For a single kit box, Continental U.S. shipping is $8.00

Your package is shipped via USPS with tracking that is sent to you in a confirmation email. If the package gets lost in transit, we will replace the order. Once the package is marked Delivered, we cannot refund or replace the order. Please be aware of the "out for delivery" email you will receive and be mindful of when your carrier arrives.  

Upon shipment of your package, you will receive an email containing your package shipment information and a link to track the package.

You have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To start a return, you can contact us at suzanneshade@barehands.us. We’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Refunds for the item's cost will reappear in your bank account within 5-10 business days of processing. Original and return shipping costs are not included in the refund amount.
